John Tennant is currently employed by Intel Corporation as Director, with a small business and telco focus.  John has taught e-Commerce and Global Strategy at the University of Phoenix, and has previously been employed by Hewlett-Packard and WordPerfect, and has founded two dot-coms (in the music and toys industries).

 John’s experiences are truly international in scope. He has managed employees in the Philippines, Hong Kong, Ireland, and Israel. John also managed two global flash memory product launches–one in partnership with Sharp Corporation in Japan, the other product launch in Taiwan.

 His article “Flash Memory Trends and Applications” was published by CompoTech, a high-tech journal, in both English and Cantonese. His “PianoQuest Reports” was a best-selling eBook on Amazon Japan, and “Maui CEO: Import from China, Sell on eBay, and Live Wherever You Want” was both an Editor’s Choice and Reader’s Choice Award winner.

He has been interviewed on multiple radio stations as a small business expert, has spoken on various aspects of small business at the American Indian Science & Engineering Society, Salesforce.com’s Dreamforce, Intel Developer’s Forum, and at multiple eBay Developer’s Conferences.

John has marketed face-t0-face with major empanies in all worldwide geographies including Europe, India, and Asia. John has lived in South Korea and Israel. John has been the key speaker at a gathering of CIO’s in Beijing and Shanghai.

John holds a law degree from the University of Michigan, where he was Articles Editor and Senior Technology Editor for the Michigan Telecommunications and Technology Law Review. He also has an M.B.A. from the University of Michigan, and has taken executive education classes at Harvard, MIT, and University of Virginia. John is a founding and current member of the High Tech Advisory Council for Xerox Corporation.
